BLOODSTOCK AGENCY FOR SALE AS A GOING CONCERN  
After much consideration I have made the decision to sell the domestic side of my Bloodstock Agency, to concentrate full time on the o'seas market(s). The business incorporates among other things excellent goodwill, an extensive client and data base, an excellent web site, proven systems for sourcing and selling horses and numerous other relevant tangible and intangible assets. 

This opportunity will allow the individual(s) to be self employed and/or supplement an existing income.
It will afford the person a high degree of freedom and good standard of living.
The business will be bought as a profitable going concern and as the business has been operating for close to six years the start up costs and difficulties will be minimal.
They will be acquiring six years of experience, goodwill and other tangible and intangible assets that will allow for a smooth transition into the business.
There will be genuine business and income from day one - served to you on a plate.
There will be genuine referrals from myself on an on going basis.
Training and support will also be provided by myself on an on going basis.
If proven systems and processes are continued and enhanced there is no doubt that there is genuine scope for improvement in the number of horses sold, turnover and profit.
Having survived and thrived during the EI debacle and the recent Financial Crisis, the business has also proved itself to be genuinely recession proof.

Having some understanding and knowledge of the Thoroughbred Industry is an absolute must.
It will suit individuals looking to gain fast track knowledge and a solid foothold in the Bloodstock industry.
In my opinion it will also suit a family and/or an individual actually based in a rural or non eastern seaboard area. (i.e Perth, Darwin, Rocky, etc).
(Naturally these things take time so moving forward I am certainly still 'open for business' sourcing and selling horses for the domestic market)

FUSAICHI PEGASUS x DRAMA (SADLERS WELLS)  
Beautifully Bred 2 Year Old. 1 Start 1 Win. G Coast 900m on Oct 24th
1: 1-0-0. Beautifully bred being by Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus (497 winners and 40 individual stakes winners), out of a mare by the immortal Sadlers Wells. Won an 800m trial at Eagle Farm on her ear on Oct 6, followed by a Gold Coast 900m Maiden on Oct 24th!! Correct, athletic and has shown raw and genuine ability. Her 3rd dam is multiple stakes winning mare and producer Number - dam of  of Gr 1 winner Jade Robbery and Gr 3 winner Numerous, etc. Based on her physique, breeding and running style the fact she has won a trial and a 900m maiden over too short distance indicates that not only was this a very, very good effort but she has it all ahead of her. Genuine sale. The old saying, "You should never look a gift horse in the mouth" is very relevant here. Value buying.

Consistent NSW Class 2 In Good Form. Handles Both Dirt and Turf
Rated 52. Nice, neat and muscular. Very much a sprinting type. Generally she is very consistent in and around Canberra, Nowra etc on any surface (wins on good and heavy tracks respectively) and has run a close 2nd on the Canberra Acton track, so dirt shouldnt be a problem. No issues and sensible to ride etc. No vices. Her dam was a multiple metro winner of 5 races and over $80k. Owner consolidating stock - has a lot of horses. Finished 3rd at Tumut on Sat Jan 16th - BM65 over 1000m. Finished 3rd again at  Parkes on Sun Jan 31st - BM60 over 1000m.

Nice female family with his dam half sister to two stakes horses - Aidan James 8 wins and $167k, including the QTC P Gallagher S Listed and Majorette - 4 wins and 3d Black Opal S G3. Country Cup Prospect. Hard Knocking Open Miler
Rated 73. Big robust horse - 16.3+. Genuine on pace runner. Former Flemington winner over 1600m and South Grafton winner over 1600m. Tamworth Cup type horse but the 1400m these days just a little sharp for him. Likes it good to dead, althouigh he did win a recent trial on the slow bu 14 lengths! Becoming hard to place these days. Lumped 62kg last start at too short a trip  - got squeezed and with the weight could not regain momentum (refer stewards report under race form). Will suit country areas where open/cups races are run over 1600m. Has been seen to windsuck.

Nice, neat, athletic type. Correct, sound and muscular. Only had the one educational 800m trial  Bendigo - she finished 5th but did not handle the slow going at all, over what was probably too short a distance. By the evergreen Canny Lad - sire of 46 stakes winners. Nicely bred being from the immediate family of successful sire Dont Say Halo as well as multiple USA stakes winners Stylish Sultan and Sunlit Ridge. Everything in order here - Owner having a clean out and upgrading racing and breeding stock and thi filly doent fit his criteria.

Ideal Picnic / Country Maiden Sprinter. In Full Work
Nice, big bold type. 16.1. Front running handy sort. Honest and consistent enough around the Wagga and Moruya area, but has been hampered by inconsistent tracks and bad draws in recent times . Had a bit of a hard time early in his career but has been with current trainer for a while now, and although he is handy enough he really needs the Non-Tab / Picnic type racing to be competitive. Just starting a new campaign so plenty of racing in front of him.
Ran 2nd (0.8) at Balranald on Sat Feb 20th - 1000m Maiden.

Stallion Prospect. Stakes Winner With Clasical Pedigree, Oustanding Looks and Superb Conformation
Pure Theatre raced only in the best of company - Lonhro, Ustinov, Distinctly Secret, Viking Ruler, Royal Code - and more than matched them. He only raced at the highest level, winning the VATC Guineas Prelude (G3) enroute to a luckless third in the 2001 Caulfield Guineas (G1).  His famous sire Nureyev is the sire himself of champion sire sons including Peintre Celebre, Spinning World and Soviet Star. Nureyev (Champion Miler in France) is the sire of 642 progeny to race, 487 winners (76%), with earnings of $76.8 million and 136 stakes winners.

Pure Theatre to date has left 42 individual winners of 50 races with earnings of over $760,000 throughout Aus/NZ and Asia. His yearlings have sold up to $210,000. His fertility and libido are excellent; he has a very good temperament and he is a good server. He stands 16.1hh. Was originally with a Sydney syndicate who exclusively race stallion prospects. The new connections subsequently gelded him with very favourable performances. Purely a commercial decision to sell with the horse now being an 'asset'  or product of value. Rated 41. Nice neat type. Winner at Port Macquarie. Honest, and always puts in but just lacks a couple of gears in the current area in and around the Hunter Valley, NSW. 100% sound. Great ride, no vices.  Favourable enough jockey comments. Didnt handle the 1450m so better kept to sprint distances. Suit Picnics.

Mchappy herself is the dam of Magnus - 4 wins and $1.3 million, wins incl AJC Galaxy Gr 1, as well as Wilander MRC Schillaci S Gr 1 . Immediate family of Black Caviar, VRC Danehill S Gr 2. Super Consistent Vic Class 1. Melbourne Midweek / Strongest Vic Provincial Form
Rated 60. Sale winner over 1200m. Tough and honest. Realistically she should have won more than she has. Struk interference at her most recent race at Sandown on March 3rd. Very, very consistent throughout her career, and although she is competitive on all surfaces she is not really paying her way for metroplitan clients. Her dam was a multiple metro winner up tp 1600m. No mystery - owners looking for better. Ideal candidate for anywhere in the country. Plenty of upside.
NB. The owners will more than likely start her once more before she is sold.

 

UNTOUCHABLE x SWIFT DESIRE (JOHNS HOPE)   Stakes won $7,200
Consistent and Honest NSW Provincial/Country Class 1
Rated 47. Well put together, nugget of a horse. 15.2/500kg. Queanbeyan winner over 1100m, placings at Nowra and has run some very solid races at strong NSW provincials - Gosford, Hawkesbury etc. Generally very consistent and generally an on pace runner. Dont take too much notice of last two races- drew very wide both times and trapped wide and never got into the races. Half brother to Alladins Lion - metro winner of 7 races and over $119k. Great doer, no vices and no issues.

YOUTHFUL LEGS x BITTER VICTORIA (CANADIAN SILVER)   Stakes won $29,800
Nice Class 3 Sprinter / Miler. Excellent Overall Record
Rated 59. Stylish, athletic type. Wins at Tamworth and Quirindi, and ran very well in Sydney on a bog track. Much better on top of the ground. Getting a hard horse to place now that he is rated 59, so will suit Qld. Gunnedah run he had genuine excuses - junior rider took some less than ideal options and a shifty surface from well back didnt allow him to make up ground. A better fresh horse and as mentioned he hasn't been the easiest horse to find suitable races for. His dam is a half sister to Champion Pompeii Ruler. Based on his breeding and running style he may even appreciate a step up to the mile. Has been seen to occasionally crib bite.
