STRAVINSKY x LA CHAMANE (DESERT SUN)   Stakes won NZ$3,575
Well bred and Lightly Raced NZ Staying Mare in Good Form
A typical Stravinsky type. Yet to strike a dry surface but has performed very well to date on rain affected tracks up to 1800m.  Her dam was a NZ stakes winner up to 1900m, and her immediate family includes an abundance of European stakes winners such as La Carene - Evry Prix Chloe, Gr3, and Kenaria - Longchamp Prix de Meudon, L. Has been given plenty of time to mature with her first race in June 08. Purely a commercial decision to sell, due to very low stake money levels in NZ, and owners strictly running a high end commercial operation so she must be sold. Plenty of racing ahead of her with genuine residual as a broodmare.
Please note the asking price is NZ$22,500 which is equivalent to Aus$20,000.
All NZ racing can be viewed at www.nzracing.co.nz
L'Aquila resumed on Dec 30 at Taupo.

ENCOSTA DE LAGO x SAWATDEE (DEPUTY GOVERNOR)   Stakes won NZ$9,906
Beautifully Bred, Lightly Raced Up and Coming NZ Stayer
Ran a really nice first up 4th at Te Aroha on Wed Nov 26 - Maiden Hcp over 1600m. Drew 15, trapped wide on a very firm surface at an unsuitable distance. Second up he ran a blinder on Fri Dec 12 running 2nd (just pipped on the line) - 3yo+ Maiden Hcp over 1600m. He is out of Sawatdee, winner of the NZ Oaks Gr 1 over 2400m. Half brother to current Melbourne winner Sailor Salute - two wins this year (as a 5 year old) at metro level and 3rd in this years Terang Cup over 2150m. He has had eight runs to date at metropolitan equivalent tracks of Matamata and Te Rapa for a win and four 2nds from 1600m through to 2100m. He has been given plenty of time to mature and develop and as he needs a mile or more he has somewhat missed the Asian market so its is purely a commercial decision to sell as a result of the poor prize money on offer in NZ. Airfreight from Auckland to Syd/Mel is approx Aus$4250.
All NZ racing can be viewed at www.nzracing.co.nz. Price on Application
Won very impressively at Taupo on Tues Dec 30 over 1950m. Top run, as he was back early, inched forward from the 1000m travelling three wide, was headed in the straight and ground it out nicely in the run home.

KINGS BEST x MAGIC MORN (SADLERS WELLS)   Stakes won $2,650
Beautifully Bred Staying Mare. Genuine International Bloodlines
Better than the form reads as she is consistent enough at 1600 or more at strong Vic provincial level. Ideally needing a drop in class in order to take her through the grades. Out of the Sadlers Wells mare Magic Morn who is a half sister to three European stakes winners including Mujtahid - York Gimcrack S Gr 2 (Sire) and Just Happy - 2nd Deauville Prix d'Ornano Gr 2.  Three generations packed with international stakes winners and black type performers. Her young half sisters, both by Elusive Quality are with two of Australias leading trainers  - Italian Beauty with Clarry Connors trialled nicely at Randwick behind Zikmann, a subsequent 2yo Rosehill winner, and Alreshaad that Shadwell paid $625,000 for at the Easter sales is with David Hayes and all reports are very encouraging. Genuine upside in regard to both breeding and racing. Will suit owner/breeder looking to race and upgrade their stock.

PAUILLAC x SISU (SWITCH IN TIME)   Stakes won $32,750
Competitive Hunter Valley Open Sprinter
In full work, this big, strapping galloper is a little in and out but very very capable on his day. His usual pattern of racing is to take a sit and charge home.  Ignore his Nov 17 run.... due to the lack of acceptances in the 1400m race, he used the 1200m as a sharpner for a Nov 30 race, which unfortunately was abandoned due to flooding. Multiple wins on good through to heavy surfaces but tends to go better with the sting out of the ground. 100% sound and vice free. Schedule to run again early Dec.

Broken in and after a spell has now been back in work six weeks. Has been givin plenty of time to mature. Sound, correct  "diamond in the rough" ready to go on with. Immediate family of stakes winner West Country - 7 wins up tp 2100m including the Gosford Cup Gr 3.  Genuine sale: Older owner consolidating his stock and selling most of them, due to "time of life" and a severe lack of reliable (or any) track riders. CARNEGIE x BELLEVILLE (DANEHILL)   Stakes won $13,380
Super Consistent Metro Class 2
Nice, big strong miler, in full work and good recent form. His Morphetville run on Dec 19 was commendable in that he was parked out the back in a slowly run race, not one of the great rides as he was pulling for his head. Did well to finish as close as he did. Nicely bred with his half brother running placings in two stakes races in NZ this season . On his breeding there is certainly the suggestion he may get further than a mile. He does best when allowed to tuck in behind the leaders and swoop in the straight. Scheduled to run again at the end of Dec. 100% sound, vice free and ready to win races in any country area
Ran a very unlucky 2nd at Murray Bridge on Wed Jan 7 - Hcp62  over 1400m, after only seeing daylight the last 150m.

Genuine Sydney Saturday Class 6 In Excellent Form. Rated 89.
Front running and very consistent metro sprinter who won at Randwick won Dec 12 over 1100m. Ran a very respectable race on Dec 26 beaten 4.2 lengths by the exciting Kennys World after being shuffled back and having to travel 3-4 wide. Probably performs best fresh, but has performed consistently at metro level throughout his career. Wins and placings on all surfaces. Strong, well muscled, correct individual that will suit any interstate metro area. Has been well cared for his whole racing life and has pleny of racing ahead of him.

Consistent Vic Sprinting Class 2 In Good Form. Rated 60
Lovely, athletic front running sprinter/miler with a 3rd and 4th from her last two runs. Two wins over 1200m at Murtoa and 1600m at Swan Hill. In full work with her most recent race on Jan 1 at Murtoa. Would appear to suit pretty much any country area. Nicely bred, being the immediate family of many stakes winners including Rass Dancer and Rass Brightia. Her 2nd dam was a multiple metro winner up to 2200m. Lovely to do anything with and likes good through to dead surfaces. Genuine upside on the right area

Honest and super consistent middle distance class 6 performer at decent Vic provincial level, including Kilmore, Seymour, etc. Averaging 3 - 5 lengths behind them at the 0-68 and 0-78 level, including recent Vic Country Cups. Has actually started in several hurdling races but best suited to 1200 - 2000m rather than out and out staying races and ideally needs it it on top of the ground. Nicely bred being half to Staff Seargeant ,2d HK Derby Gr 1 and Senior Sergeant, Balaklava Cup Listed.

Ideal Interstate Country Prospect
Big, athletic, lightly raced 3yr old sprinter that has run a 3rd at Kilmore over 1450m (beaten 1.3 lengths). Three of his runs have been very solid for a young horse having its first prep. Ignore last run where he ran against trainers wishes, having esentially gone over the top. 110% sound, and coming out of a yard with a proven record of selling horses that go on to win for new connections. Owners getting out of the game. Genuine upside, pretty much in any country area. Will not be on the market for long.

Two stakes placings in 08 - 3rd in the Spring Classic, Listed in Oct over 1600m, and 3rd in the Easter Cup over 1600m. Has won on all surfaces but doesnt like it too heavy as he encountered over the winter in NZ last year. Rated 85 in NSW so would receive 59kg in 0-86 Hcps and 56kg in 0-91Hcps.
